House Rendition VIII

This is the first rendition I have done using a combination of acrylics and pastels. I like the rough chalky quality of the ground and house. By using the two mediums I was able to get a blurred effect with the palm trees in the background.

ABOUT THE PAINTINGS

Nicole paints many glazes, thin, transparent layers of paint, to create visual depth and rich colors. When painting a portrait, she can use up to 30 of these transparent layers on the face. This is very time consuming but the results are worth it. Her preferred painting surface for acrylics is gessoed wood usually in the form of a 3/16" wood panel. The edges of the wood panel are painted; creating a finished look that is unique and sure to be a conversation piece. Acrylics dry almost instantly and can be shipped the same day. Your purchase will arrive unframed unless specified in the description.
