To Bake, Boil or Fry?

These potatoes are freshly washed, sitting on the cutting board, waiting to become something new. The question is, "What to make?" This is the question I have on a daily basis. I open the refrigerator and look in the cupboard, taking inventory of what I have, and contemplating my options.

ABOUT THE PAINTINGS

Nicole paints many glazes, thin, transparent layers of paint, to create visual depth and rich colors. When painting a portrait, she can use up to 30 of these transparent layers on the face. This is very time consuming but the results are worth it. Her preferred painting surface for acrylics is gessoed wood usually in the form of a 3/16" wood panel. The edges of the wood panel are painted; creating a finished look that is unique and sure to be a conversation piece. Acrylics dry almost instantly and can be shipped the same day.
